Donated nearly 19,000 textbooks to students affected by floods in the Song Ma region

On August 28, in Song Ma commune, Vietnam Education Publishing House coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Son La province and Tay Bac Book and Equipment Service and Trading Joint Stock Company to donate textbooks to students in communes and schools affected by floods.

At the program, representatives of the Vietnam Education Publishing House presented 18,946 books, including textbooks, exercise books and exam preparation guides, with a total value of 276 million VND. Of which, 14,742 books were given to students in Song Ma commune; 226 books were given to Chieng Khoong commune; 2,808 books were given to Nam Ty commune; and 1,170 books were given to students at Muong Lan Secondary School.

Also at the program, Tay Bac Book and Equipment Service and Trading Joint Stock Company donated 2,600 notebooks and 30 backpacks to students affected by floods, with a total value of over 23 million VND.

The book donation program is an activity maintained annually by the Vietnam Education Publishing House and the Tay Bac Book and Equipment Service and Trading Joint Stock Company before the new school year, as part of the "Following you to school" activities, especially prioritizing students in border areas, islands, remote areas, areas affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, and students from families with preferential policies. The activity not only helps students have enough books when entering the new school year, but also contributes to supplementing learning and teaching materials for students and teachers in the school library.
