At 5:00 p.m. on July 19, the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard said that the unit coordinated with other forces to rescue 10 people.
Currently, the ship owner has not been contacted. According to the announcement of Hon Gai Port Border Gate, the border guards are urgently approaching to rescue.

By 5:45 p.m. the same day, authorities had rescued 10 people, including passengers and crew members (Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard rescued 7 people, civilian boats rescued 3 people). Authorities also recovered the bodies of some victims.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Vu Dai Thang directly directed the rescue work; at the same time, assigned Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc An to directly go to the scene to direct the rescue work, ensuring the safety of tourists and crew members.
