Dan Phuong teaches fire and explosion handling skills to 300 people

This is an activity to implement Plan No. 101/KH-CAHN-PC07 dated April 3, 2025 of Hanoi City Police on launching a special emulation movement to carry out a peak of propaganda and guidance on fire safety and rescue for facilities and residential areas in the city; Plan No. 44/KH-UBND dated January 23, 2025 of Dan Phuong District People's Committee on organizing fire fighting and rescue drills in residential areas with high risk of fire and explosion in Dan Phuong district in 2025.

At the propaganda session, the staff of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team of Dan Phuong disseminated knowledge and laws on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, information on typical fires in Dan Phuong district and the city, risks of fire and explosion at facilities, and provided training on basic knowledge of fire prevention and fighting; initial fire handling skills; and fire escape skills for households with rented houses and households with houses combined with production and business.

Immediately after the propaganda session, the People's Committees of the communes conducted a fire prevention and rescue plan exercise in residential areas with high fire and explosion risks. The drill scenarios were presented by the People's Committees of the communes close to the reality of residential areas with high fire and explosion risks. The operating mechanism and mobilization of each step in the plan were learned from theory to practice... Local people enthusiastically participated in the drill, achieving high efficiency.

In particular, in Dan Phuong commune, the drill situation is the residential area at risk of fire and explosion, Dan Phuong craft village with 57 households and 186 people, including many different types of production such as: Gas filling business, carpentry production, production of detailed mechanical products and garments, food, confectionery...

Practicing fire prevention and rescue plans in residential areas with high fire and explosion risks helps localities assess, survey, and forecast the situation, thereby drawing experience and developing prevention and response plans suitable to the conditions, means, and human resources of the facility. Thereby, promptly overcoming shortcomings in fire prevention and rescue work, contributing to raising the vigilance and sense of responsibility of agencies, organizations, and people in fire prevention and rescue work, minimizing damage when a fire or explosion occurs.
