At the meeting, the Chairman of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia - Moravia assessed that the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries have developed positively, vividly demonstrated through the frequency of delegation exchanges at all levels in recent times; emphasized that the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the Czech Republic - Vietnam and between the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia - Moravia and the Communist Party of Vietnam have been nurtured and continuously developed by generations of leaders of the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1950.
Ms. Katerina Konecna affirmed that the consistent policy of the Czech-Moravian Communist Party is to promote traditional relations with Communist Parties, left-wing and progressive forces around the world , in which the Communist Party of Vietnam is always one of the top priority partners.
The Chairman of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia - Moravia assessed that the cooperative relationship between the two Parties has developed well with many visits and delegation exchanges at all levels in recent years, most recently the working visit of Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia; emphasized that maintaining regular delegation exchanges will contribute to further tightening the traditional relationship between the two Parties; suggested that the media agencies of the two Parties strengthen cooperation and share experiences in external propaganda work through Party channels; expressed readiness to welcome and support Vietnamese delegations visiting Czech localities.
Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam thanked the leadership of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and Ms. Katerina Konecna personally for their sincere attention and affection for Vietnam over the years; and reiterated the invitation of the Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia to the leadership of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia to visit Vietnam.
The Ambassador informed that the two countries are looking forward to celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025) with a series of events vividly demonstrating the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation; hoping that the Czech-Moravian Communist Party will actively respond and coordinate to organize these meaningful activities.
During the discussion, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam also asked Ms. Katerina Konecna, as a Member of the European Parliament (EP), to pay attention to and urge the European Commission (EC) to soon remove the IUU "yellow card" for Vietnamese seafood products to support the sustainable development of the industry.
