Agribank Party Committee summarizes work in the first 9 months of the year, deploys tasks for the last 3 months of 2024

On the morning of October 2, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam ( Agribank ) held a conference to review the work of the first 9 months of the year and deploy directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024. In the first 9 months of 2024, in the context of the world situation continuing to evolve rapidly and complicatedly, strategic competition between major countries is increasingly fierce, the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts are more complicated; natural disasters, droughts, climate change cause serious consequences,... Agribank Party Committee continues to raise awareness, political determination, closely monitor and resolutely lead and direct; the Board of Members and the Executive Board focus on grasping information, forecasting the situation, working directly with units/facilities, striving to overcome difficulties and challenges, implementing many flexible solutions to share and support customers to overcome damage after Storm No. 3; basically completed the important business targets set. Closely following the leadership and direction of the superiors, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Agribank have proactively and resolutely led and directed the comprehensive implementation of work tasks right from the beginning of the year, promptly deployed and organized the implementation of the orientations of the Government, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc. The Party Committee of Agribank has directed the serious implementation of all aspects of Party building work; the study, dissemination, preliminary and final reviews of resolutions and directives of superiors have been promptly implemented; the organization and construction of the Party in the Agribank Party Committee has been carried out synchronously, in accordance with the prescribed order and procedures; the inspection and supervision work has been seriously implemented, according to plan. The activities of the advisory and support agencies of the Party Committee have been improved; the working order has been built and consolidated; many documents and regulations of superiors have been researched and concretized into practice to create unity; The quality of coordination in advising and assisting Party committees and professional topics has been improved. The preparation work for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025-2030, has been proactively deployed by units.

Party committees and managers at all levels have proactively and flexibly implemented leadership solutions, directed political tasks, and improved forecasting and analysis capacity to have appropriate and effective solutions. Business activities up to September 30, 2024 achieved positive results, with all business indicators being better than the same period in 2023. Capital growth was consistent with outstanding loan growth, outstanding loans increased compared to the same period in recent years; the LDR ratio has been improved; financial results were on schedule. Agribank seriously and fully implemented solutions and directions of the Government and the State Bank on customer support, participating in the interest rate reduction program, etc., synchronously implementing solutions to ensure the restructuring project roadmap approved by the Governor of the State Bank. The Party Committee, the Board of Members, and the Executive Board have seriously led the implementation of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary actions, and resolutely directed solutions and strict sanctions to control bad debts; actively participate in social security, accompany and share difficulties with businesses and customers. In addition to the achieved results, the work in the first 9 months of the year also revealed some shortcomings and limitations that need to be quickly overcome. Therefore, the content of the Conference on deploying tasks for the last months of 2024 of the Agribank Party Committee, in addition to setting out tasks that need to be urgently completed, also focused on recognizing and evaluating the causes, shortcomings and limitations in order to propose more effective solutions to operate business activities in the remaining months to achieve high results. It is forecasted that the last months of 2024 will still have many difficulties and challenges, especially the work of overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters, storms and floods. To achieve the set goals, the Government continues to effectively implement the Resolutions and Directives of the Party, the Resolution of the National Assembly on the socio-economic development plan for 2024, while closely following the domestic and international situation, promptly and effectively managing monetary and fiscal policies, improving analysis and forecasting capacity, etc. to promote rapid and sustainable economic growth, stabilize the macro-economy, control inflation and exchange rates, and prevent shocks that affect people's lives and production and business. The State Bank of Vietnam continues to operate monetary policies tightly, proactively and flexibly; harmoniously balancing mobilization interest rates and stabilizing exchange rates, ensuring stability in the monetary and credit markets, creating favorable conditions to stimulate credit demand, and meeting the capital needs of the economy.

The tasks that need to be implemented according to the work program of the Party Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee, the preparation for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and other tasks are very large, requiring Party organizations, Party committees, Inspection Committees at all levels, advisory and support agencies to resolutely and urgently deploy solutions and measures for effective leadership, direction and implementation. To successfully implement the goals and tasks of 2024, the Party Committee continues to strengthen leadership and direction of solutions to improve the quality of Party building work; organize to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo, Plan No. 139-KH/DUK of the Party Executive Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc and Plan No. 66-KH/DU on organizing party congresses at all levels towards the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, considering this a key and important task that needs to be focused on leading and implementing in the last months of the year.
