At the meeting, the Steering Committee of An Giang province on summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently focused on assessing the progress of implementing the reorganization of the provincial apparatus in the past time; discussed, gave opinions, and approved the Orientation Plan to continue to reorganize administrative units and organize the apparatus of the political system of An Giang province to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. The plan was developed by the Provincial Steering Committee with the purpose and requirement of seriously and drastically implementing the contents according to the direction and orientation of the Central Steering Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the guidance of the Government Party Committee on streamlining the organization of the local political system, ensuring smooth, effective and efficient operations, enhancing the leadership and governing role of the Party, meeting the requirements in the new period.

It is necessary to urgently deploy tasks in the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time"; the provincial level does not wait for the district level, the district level does not wait for the grassroots.

At the same time, promote the role and responsibility of the members of the Provincial Steering Committee, aiming at the goal of building a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus of the provincial political system. Strengthen information and propaganda work to create unity in awareness, action, political determination in Party committees, Party organizations, the political system and consensus in society to successfully implement the policy of innovation, reorganizing the organization and apparatus of the political system, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

It is necessary to organize statistics, review and handle finances, state budget, agency headquarters, and units during the process of restructuring the apparatus. Absolutely do not allow loss of assets, finances, state budget, and negativity when implementing the restructuring; at the same time, do not allow vacancy, unused, misused, or ineffective use, causing waste of assets. The arrangement and assignment of cadres, especially the heads of merged units, must be truly fair, objective, public, and transparent; based on regulations and on the basis of evaluating cadres, focusing on those with capacity to consider and assign suitable positions; cadres who are arranged and assigned work must comply with the assignment, for the common development of the industry, agency, unit, and the province. At the same time, continue to research and resolve policies and issues related to personnel work when arranging and streamlining the apparatus to motivate, encourage, and ensure the rights and benefits of the staff subject to the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus.
