According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, within the framework of the State visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, at noon on May 6 (local time), the ceremony to award the First Class Dostyk Friendship Medal to General Secretary To Lam took place at the Akorda Presidential Palace (Kazakhstan).

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev respectfully presented General Secretary To Lam with the Dostyk Friendship Medal, First Class - a noble award of the State and people of Kazakhstan.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam shared that this award is a recognition and appreciation of the achievements of many decades of cooperation and solidarity between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, and a vivid symbol of the sincere affection and trust between the people of the two countries.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that over the past decades, the friendship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan has been built on the basis of mutual respect and understanding and has been continuously nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, with a common belief and aspiration for freedom and independence, and for a bright future.

The noble First Class Dostyk Order of Friendship is a great source of encouragement for all of us to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, constantly striving to build the best things for the beautiful traditional friendship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in the future.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the state and people of Kazakhstan for always supporting and standing side by side with Vietnam to preserve and foster the valuable and long-lasting cooperative relationship between the two countries.

Within the framework of the State visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, at noon on May 6 (local time), right after the talks, General Secretary To Lam and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the high-ranking delegations of the two countries witnessed the ceremony of handing over cooperation documents and adopting the Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam - Kazakhstan Strategic Partnership.

Specifically, the cooperation documents include: Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan. Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of culture between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan for the period 2025-2027. Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of sports between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan. Cooperation program between the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan for the period 2025-2027.

Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the People's Committee of Hung Yen Province (Vietnam) and the Government of Kyzylorda Province (Kazakhstan).
