The highlight of the opening day was Dao Van Hoan's excellent performance. With 71 strokes (-1), he was the only golfer to score a negative score in the tournament and temporarily led the rankings. Starting from hole 10, Dao Van Hoan started strongly with three consecutive birdies at holes 13, 14 and 16, bringing his total score down to -3. However, before reaching the last 3 holes, although he scored 1 more birdie, he made 2 bogeys and 1 double bogey, causing his total score to fall to even par. Luckily, a timely birdie at hole 9 helped him close round 1 with -1, maintaining the number one position.

Right behind him were two athletes with the same score of 72 strokes (even par): Nguyen Tuan Anh (AM) and Stuart Matthew Brown. Of which, Nguyen Tuan Anh was the amateur golfer with the best score this round, showing the strong rise of young talents.
Tied for fourth place are three names: Park Sang Ho, Yang Jung Soo and Nguyen Chi Trong – all finished the round with 73 strokes (+1). With the score gap not too large, the competition for the championship in round 2 promises to be extremely attractive and intense.

In the women's category, Nguyen Bao Chau is a notable face as the female athlete with the best result in round 1. With 78 strokes, she is currently ranked 22nd in the overall ranking. Although only 13 years old and competing in the amateur group, Bao Chau has shown potential when competing with many experienced golfers.
Tomorrow (April 10), the tournament will enter the final round to determine the champion of Trang An Classic 2025. At the same time, the 5 male golfers and 2 female golfers with the best results in the tournament will also qualify for the Trang An Open 2025, taking place from May 15 to 18, 2025.
