Imprints from patriotic emulation movements

(QBĐT) - Imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation...", in recent years, patriotic emulation movements (PTTĐYN) in the province have been widely deployed, have had strong influence, creating motivation to contribute to the successful implementation of tasks and goals of socio- economic development (SED), ensuring local national defense and security (NDS).

Exciting emulation movements

In recent years, the Youth Union's emulation movements have been launched and widely deployed by Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province in all fields, thereby creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, motivating and encouraging collectives, individuals and all classes of people to overcome difficulties, strive to successfully implement the key goals and tasks set out in each year and each period.

Mr. Mai Xuan Toan, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs (the standing agency of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council) said: The content of the Emulation and Rewards Program always closely follows the political tasks and action programs to successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, as well as the tasks and activities of the sectors, localities and in each specific field.

In particular, the campaigns launched by the Prime Minister , such as: "The whole country unites, joins hands, and competes to prevent, fight and defeat the Covid-19 pandemic", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas (NTM)", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", "Vietnamese enterprises integrate and develop", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture"... were effectively organized and implemented by all levels, sectors, and localities in the province.

Along with that, in order to create a vibrant and widespread competitive atmosphere throughout the political system, in all areas of social life, every year, the Provincial Economic and Trade Council advises the Provincial People's Committee to launch emulation campaigns in various fields. In the economic field, emulation campaigns in agricultural, forestry, industrial production, trade and service sectors have been actively responded to by units and localities, such as: "Skilled workers, creative workers", "Productivity, quality, efficiency", "Promoting initiatives, technical improvements", "Farmers compete in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", "Linking production development"...

In the socio-cultural field, PTTDs are also regularly launched, closely following the key tasks of the locality, notably: "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "Teach well, study well", "Build friendly schools, active students"... Thanks to that, the quality of education has changed a lot, people's health care has been well implemented, and social security issues have been ensured.

Along with emulation work in the socio-economic field, PTTĐ in the fields of Party building, government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have focused on implementing major policies of the Party and State, associated with implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and Resolution of the Central Committee 4 (term XII) on Party building and rectification.

The contingent of cadres and party members, especially key cadres from the province to the grassroots, have promoted their pioneering and exemplary role in the campaigns and movements, contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong party organization. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations continue to innovate the content and methods of operation according to the motto of focusing on the grassroots; step up propaganda and mobilize union members, association members and people from all walks of life to strongly respond to the youth movements. Thereby, creating vibrant youth movements throughout the province, contributing to the successful implementation of local political, socio-economic, national defense and security tasks.

From the PTTĐYN, in recent years, many typical examples have appeared in all fields in the province. The examples of "good people, good deeds" have been contributing to inspiring cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to actively participate in responding to the PTTĐ, thereby building the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

Specifically, in the campaign “The whole country joins hands to build a new rural area”, many good and effective models have appeared, such as: “Model new rural road, bright-green-clean-beautiful”; “Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans-model new rural area”, “Green fence of new rural area”, “Model flower road”. Typical localities in the campaign to build new rural areas include Xuan Thuy commune (Le Thuy), Cu Nam commune (Bo Trach) and Huong Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa).

In particular, typical individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister, such as: Ms. Nguyen Thi Doc (Tan Ninh commune, Quang Ninh) who mobilized family members to contribute more than 6 billion VND to support the locality in building a number of new rural projects in the commune; Mr. Nguyen Duc Chau, Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Front Committee of the residential area of Xuan Lai village (Mai Thuy commune, Le Thuy) actively mobilized people to build Xuan Lai village into a "livable village"...

In the “For the poor - No one is left behind” program, many charitable groups and individuals have joined hands to implement social security programs, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, demonstrating the tradition of “mutual love and support”, good ethics and the strength of the great national solidarity bloc. The education and training sector also saw many "flowers" in the "Good Teaching, Good Learning" movement, such as: Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School and Hoa Hong Kindergarten (Dong Hoi City), Quach Xuan Ky Secondary School and Hoan Lao Primary School No. 2 (Bo Trach); teachers: Trinh Thi Hang (Tuyen Hoa High School), Nguyen Phuong Hoang and Luu Thi Khanh Giang (Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School), Tran Thi Hai Yen (Quang Son Secondary School, Ba Don Town), Do Trung Quang (Kim Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School No. 1, Le Thuy)... In particular, with continuous outstanding achievements over many school years, especially the 10-year period (from 2009-2019), on November 13, 2020, the President signed Decision No. 2015/QD-CTN to confer the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period on Quach Xuan Ky Secondary School (Bo Trach).

The PPTDYN of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police were actively responded to by officers and soldiers, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks, contributing to ensuring solid national defense and security, effectively serving the cause of socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Typical units in the PPTDYN of the Provincial Military Command include the following: Staff Department, Political Department; Military Commands of Le Thuy, Bo Trach districts and Dong Hoi City; The Provincial Military Command was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President.

The provincial police have the following units: Criminal Police Department, Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Traffic Police Department, Internal Security Department, Dong Hoi City Police, Bo Trach District Police, Le Thuy District Police... which are typical examples in the campaign "Quang Binh Police officers and soldiers improve their bravery and humanity, strive to compete to make achievements for Uncle Ho, for the security of the Fatherland"...
