The 10th grade entrance exam for literature at a specialized school has errors.

On the afternoon of June 10, the Departmentof Education and Training of Gia Lai informed the press about the information on June 8 that the Department received information related to the literature exam, the entrance exam for grade 10 of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, school year 2024-2025, which had errors.

Immediately afterwards, the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training convened the teachers in the Literature (specialized) exam group to meet for verification.

It was determined that during the exam preparation stage, the teacher who created the exam had incorrectly quoted the phrase "golden rice, white rice" as "rice, white gold" from an excerpt in the speech "Message on beauty and freedom" by writer Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association .

This error affects about 0.5 points out of the total 5 points of this question, equivalent to 10% of the total score of the question, 5% of the total score of the test. Therefore, the test still relatively ensures the requirements for classifying and selecting successful candidates and does not organize a re-test.

The Department of Education and Training has directed the Examination Council on June 10 to organize a specialized Literature Examination Board to discuss and propose adjustments to the answers and marking instructions (if any). At the same time, agree on a suitable marking method to minimize the impact of incorrect exam questions.
