The benchmark scores for 10th graders to enter Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted were announced along with the exam scores. Three days later, the benchmark scores for regular classes are expected to be announced on the morning of June 26.
In addition to the 10th grade exam results, the department also announced the exam scores and admission scores for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School on June 23, one day earlier than expected.
The grading of the 10th grade exams in Ho Chi Minh City was completed on June 16. According to initial assessments, the math score distribution is positive, and it is expected that above-average scores will increase. There are 10s, but not many, with each grading group only having 1-3 papers with 10s.
For literature, the score range is mostly 6.5-7, with few essays scoring 8-9.
Meanwhile, many marking groups recorded that about 30% of the English test scores were below average. The common score of candidates was around 6-7 points.
This year, the 10th grade admission process in Ho Chi Minh City is considered the easiest in many years. Ho Chi Minh City's public high schools are recruiting 70,070 students, with the passing rate of nearly 92%, the highest in many years.
This is the reason why many teachers predict that the benchmark score will likely decrease slightly or remain the same.
