At the 27th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity on December 31, 2024, the General Secretary requested to resolutely and comprehensively deploy the task of preventing and combating waste throughout society, focusing on land, environment, and budgetary issues. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the prevention of corruption, waste and negativity in conjunction with streamlining the apparatus of the political system. The General Secretary also requested to synchronously implement preventive solutions from the root, promote control of power, declare assets, apply science and technology, and build a culture of integrity. Ha Giang province is one of the localities in the country that has early implemented thematic party cell activities to thoroughly grasp the article "Fighting against waste" by General Secretary To Lam in a specific and profound manner. Along with that, propaganda and education work has been promoted to raise awareness of cadres, party members and people about preventing and fighting waste.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Son, Director of the Department of Construction, in order to concretize the fight against waste, the sector has strengthened supervision of the quality and efficiency of construction works, especially rural transport projects, inter-commune roads, and residential bridges. From project establishment, appraisal, to construction and acceptance, all are carried out in accordance with the provisions of law, avoiding the situation of scattered, duplicated or unnecessary investment. Bidding and contractor selection are made public and transparent through the national bidding network, helping to reduce investment costs. Projects using state budget capital are all strictly audited and inspected. At the same time, resolutely handle construction units that are behind schedule, make design mistakes or increase capital, causing waste.

The medical examination and treatment process at hospitals and district-level medical centers used to take a lot of time due to manual recording, searching for medical records by hand, or slow administrative procedures. However, when applying medical management software, doctors and nurses can easily look up medical records, prescriptions, test results, and each examination is processed faster, avoiding congestion and overload, especially during the peak season of the epidemic; statistical reports and declarations to insurance agencies are also done quickly and accurately through the software, reducing the workload for administrative staff.

According to comrade Bui Xuan Tan, Head of the Ha Giang - Bac Me Inter-district Tax Team, up to now, the number of business households in the area that have installed the Etax Mobile application is 3,305 households/total 3,467 business households, reaching a rate of 95.3%.
