Proposal to supplement the policy of visiting some ethnic minority groups

Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh and Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Nong Quoc Tuan visited and encouraged ethnic minorities in Ia Mo commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province.

The draft supplements a specific policy on visiting, congratulating, and supporting a number of units and individuals who are ethnic minorities to institutionalize the policy of "Strengthening social consensus; consolidating people's trust in the Party and State, promoting internal strength, overcoming difficulties and challenges, integrating and developing with the country..." in section 4.2 of Conclusion 65-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the 9th Party Central Committee on ethnic work in the new situation.

Specifically, the draft supplements Article 12a, regulating the policy of visiting, congratulating, and encouraging a number of units and individuals who are ethnic minorities" as follows:

The subjects visited, congratulated and encouraged include:

a) Former key leaders and senior leaders of the Party and State are ethnic minorities;

b) Heroes of the Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, exemplary revolutionary soldiers, and retired armed forces officers with the rank of general who are ethnic minorities;

c) Former leaders of central departments, ministries and branches who are ethnic minorities; former secretaries, deputy secretaries, chairmen and vice chairmen of People's Councils and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities who are ethnic minorities;

d) People's teachers, excellent teachers, people's artisans, excellent artisans, people's artists, excellent artists, people's physicians, excellent physicians, professors, associate professors, and doctors who are ethnic minorities;

d) Entrepreneurs, village and hamlet chiefs and equivalent, and good farmers who are ethnic minorities and have contributed to the socio -economic development of ethnic minority areas;

e) Ethnic minorities who have won international and national awards;

g) Poor ethnic minority households living in communes and villages in ethnic minority areas;

h) Ethnic minority people and ethnic minority households affected by natural disasters, epidemics, and famine in ethnic minority areas;

i) Kindergartens, ethnic minority boarding schools, ethnic minority boarding schools, university preparatory schools, continuing education facilities, vocational training facilities; religious facilities, medical stations, People's Committees of particularly disadvantaged communes, armed forces units in ethnic minority areas.
