Proposal to name 89 new routes in 2025

The City People's Committee has just held a meeting of the Advisory Council for naming and renaming streets and public works in 2025 in the city.

According to the proposal of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2025, the unit will coordinate with the Department of Construction and the People's Committees of wards and communes in the city to conduct a field survey of 120 roads; at the same time, organize a meeting to discuss the plan for naming roads with the People's Committees of wards and communes and experts from the Advisory Council for naming and renaming roads.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism found that there are 89 routes that meet the naming conditions. Of these, 3 routes are to be continued; 20 routes are named after famous people, People's Armed Forces Heroes, scientists , artists who have contributed to the country; 66 routes are named after villages and ancient lands.

The selection of street names is carried out carefully, based on the Street Name Fund approved by the Council, ensuring historical - cultural - geographical factors; at the same time, there is the participation of experts and researchers and is being widely consulted on the City's Electronic Information Portal and related departments and branches.

The City People's Committee agreed to propose naming 89 routes according to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism . At the same time, the Department was assigned to receive the opinions of the council members, complete the dossier, and advise the City People's Committee to submit to the City People's Council for approval at the meeting at the end of 2025.

The Department of Construction proactively coordinates, researches, surveys, and makes estimates for the installation of pillars and street name signs to promptly implement the project immediately after the City People's Council approves it.
