Proposal to invest nearly 1,000 billion VND to build a road connecting Van Trung and Quang Chau Industrial Parks

BAC NINH - Implementing the direction of comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province at the inspection of traffic congestion prevention work at Van Trung and Quang Chau Industrial Parks (Nenh ward) on the morning of September 3, in addition to immediate solutions, the authorities are implementing long-term solutions, including calculating infrastructure investment to reduce the load on the frontage road.

In Nenh ward (after the merger), there are currently 4 industrial parks in operation, including: Quang Chau, Van Trung, Dinh Tram and Viet Han, with a total of more than 209 thousand workers. Quang Chau and Van Trung Industrial Parks alone have about 190 thousand workers.

Authorities are regularly on duty during rush hour to regulate traffic on service roads near industrial parks.

However, attracting a large number of workers while the regional traffic infrastructure has not been invested synchronously according to the approved planning has led to many shortcomings in the past time such as: Frequent traffic jams and prolonged congestion; traffic insecurity on expressway feeder roads, internal roads and external connecting roads between industrial parks and neighboring areas during rush hours.

This situation seriously affects the production activities of enterprises, working time of employees, causing stress and frustration for traffic participants.

To resolve the above-mentioned problems, provincial leaders and relevant departments and branches have actively inspected and sought solutions. On September 3, comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan inspected the actual situation of traffic congestion at Quang Chau and Van Trung Industrial Parks, and directed the urgent implementation of both short-term and long-term solutions.

Up to now, immediate solutions such as traffic diversion during rush hours, handling and resolving violations of traffic safety corridors have been deployed by functional forces and localities.

In particular, Nenh ward has just completed site clearance for 11 households, creating conditions for the road connecting Yen Lu Industrial Park to Van Trung Industrial Park to be restarted soon, expected to be completed by the end of this year, contributing to ensuring smooth traffic.

It is expected that there will be a road connecting Van Trung Industrial Park - Quang Chau Industrial Park parallel to the expressway to prevent traffic congestion in these two areas.

Regarding the long-term solution, implementing the direction of the province, the Management Board of Traffic and Agriculture Project No. 1 has advised and proposed the investment policy for the road connecting Van Trung Industrial Park with Quang Chau Industrial Park, running parallel to the expressway. The total investment is expected to be nearly 1,000 billion VND from the provincial budget, implemented in the period of 2026-2029.

When the route is invested and put into use, it will not only strengthen the connection between the two industrial parks but also contribute to reducing the load and completely overcoming the congestion on the expressway; at the same time, improving the efficiency of infrastructure exploitation and attracting investment in the area.

It is known that the route connecting Van Trung Industrial Park - Quang Chau Industrial Park has been defined in the Master Plan for Viet Yen urban area, Bac Giang province to 2045, scale 1/10,000 (Decision No. 88 dated January 19, 2024 of the Prime Minister). This route is identified as route No. 1 with a road width of 60m, playing an important role in connecting urban space, key urban areas of the province and neighboring provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Lang Son, Hai Phong.

The early implementation of this project will gradually improve traffic infrastructure, improve the quality of life for workers, and contribute to promoting socio -economic development in the area.
