According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on the night of December 15th and the day of December 16th, many areas across the country will experience rain and thunderstorms. Caution is advised as thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. In particular, the Northern and North Central regions will experience cold weather at night and early morning, with some areas experiencing severe cold.

At sea, the Huyen Tran station currently has strong northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7; the Phu Quy station has wind gusts of force 7.

Forecasts indicate that on the night of December 15th and during the day of December 16th, the northern South China Sea (including the Hoang Sa Special Administrative Region) will experience strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, with gusts of level 8-9, rough seas, and waves 3-5 meters high.

In the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South China Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone), winds will be strong at level 6, gusting to levels 7-8, with rough seas and waves 2-3m high.

The southern South China Sea (including the Spratly Islands) and the Gulf of Thailand will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Warning: On the night of December 16th and throughout December 17th, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South China Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa Special Administrative Region) will experience strong northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7-8, with rough seas and waves 2-3 meters high.

In the northern South China Sea (including the Paracel Islands), strong northeasterly winds of force 6-7, gusting to force 8-9, will cause rough seas with waves 3-5 meters high.

In the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong northeasterly winds of force 5, sometimes force 6, with rough seas and waves 1.5-2.5m high.

Level 2 natural disaster risk at sea. All vessels operating in these areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and high waves.
