What to enjoy at the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023?

The culinary festival within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 with the participation of more than 50 culinary booths of artisans, professional social organizations, and culinary businesses inside and outside Thua Thien - Hue province join together to preserve, maintain and promote the position and role of Hue cuisine in general and the Bun craft in particular.

“The culinary festival is an opportunity to honor culinary artisans and promote the unique culinary cultural values of Hue, especially the Bun craft,” said the Organizing Committee.

The food festival with the theme "The Quintessence of Bun Craft" was held at Thuong Bac Park from April 29 to May 2.

At this festival space, in addition to vermicelli, there are also famous folk cuisines of people in localities inside and outside the province gathered to serve people and domestic and foreign tourists.

Notably, according to the Organizing Committee, in addition to the exchange activities and culinary enjoyment with a unique and diverse menu, within the framework of the culinary festival with the theme "The Quintessence of Bun Craft", there is also a contest "Culinary Space in Hue Garden".

In particular, also at this festival space, the Organizing Committee will set a Vietnamese Record for "Hue-style mixed fried vermicelli with 1,000 plates serving 1,000 people at once".

Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 includes 21 craft groups such as: Weaving, fine art carpentry, sculpture, inlay, lacquerware, jewelry, rattan and bamboo weaving, fine art bamboo, conical hats, incense, ceramics, bronze casting, forging...

This year's program attracted the participation of 69 craft villages, craft establishments and over 350 folk artisans, excellent artisans, and golden hands from famous craft villages across the country such as: Hoa Binh, Hanoi , Thai Binh, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City and Thua Thien - Hue.

This year's Hue Traditional Craft Festival also has the participation of more than 37 artisans of famous traditional crafts from 6 cities that have sister cities and cooperation with Hue such as: Takayama, Shizuoka, Saijo, Sasayama (Japan), Gongju, Namyangju (Korea) and 1 Korean Traditional Craft Association.

Notably, in addition to the "key" programs such as: Opening and closing ceremonies, culinary festival, worshiping the ancestors of hundreds of crafts and the procession honoring the professions - a ceremony to show gratitude and honor the values of traditional Vietnamese crafts, this Festival also has many new art programs, organized for the first time such as: "Gratitude to Huong River", street performance festival, cultural - artistic exchange, twinning, art program "Young Melody"...
