The Economic and Budget Committee of Thua Thien Hue province believes that adjusting and expanding the scope of the project will accelerate the relocation of people from the area designated for the protection of historical relics, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the value of the relics, and creating momentum for local economic development.
After 1975, many Nguyen Dynasty relics in Hue were encroached upon by people building houses, and some were no longer intact. From 2019 to the present, Thua Thien Hue province has relocated residents from the relics in the areas of Thuong Thanh, Eo Bau, Ho Thanh Hao - Tuyen Phong Lo, Tran Binh Dai, Ho Tinh Tam, Dan Xa Tac, the area adjacent to the Provincial Military Command, Hoc Hai Lake, Kham Thien Giam, Xien Vo Tu and Luc Bo at Thuong Thu Duong Bo Cong. The number of affected households is 5,024 (2,239 main households, 2,785 secondary households).
To relocate the residents, the local authorities have built a resettlement area in the north of Huong So, An Hoa ward and Huong So ward, from area 1 to area 10, with a total area of 82.77 hectares.
