Review of the content of Towards Fire episode 2

In "Going Towards Fire" episode 2, Thang missed the moment his wife gave birth to their second child because of his duty. He was scolded by his mother-in-law, but his wife understood and sympathized with her husband's work, even though he was not there when he gave birth. Thang stood outside the door looking at his wife, feeling both sorry and guilty.

The team members went to the hospital to visit Thang’s wife and children, but as soon as they arrived, they heard his mother-in-law scolding them. She was heartbroken because both times her daughter had to give birth, she had to go by herself. She said: “You have to arrange things scientifically so that she can be with her wife and children more. Where else would her wife not be there both times she gave birth?” Although his teammates spoke up for Thang, his mother-in-law was still angry, causing the atmosphere to become tense, and the team members quickly left.

The rescue team was assigned to find a young man who had committed suicide by jumping off a bridge. Duc Anh and Ha were assigned, and Long – although a new soldier – also asked to join because he was familiar with training on that section of the river. Before deployment, Ha reminded Long to absolutely obey the commander’s orders, not to be subjective, and to always keep in touch with his teammates.

After a few minutes in the water, Long found the victim, but because he was in a hurry to bring him to shore, he was swept away by the strong current and hit a reef, putting him in danger. Luckily, Ha, who was nearby, arrived in time to help. Ha reminded Long about his subjectivity: “No matter how many points you have at school, if you don’t know how to ensure your own safety and endanger your teammates, you will never be allowed to go to battle. I regret having you join the mission today.”

Finally, the rescue team found the victim. It turned out to be the son of Duc Anh's former teacher. Witnessing the teacher's pain at the loss of his son, Duc Anh shared with him. The teacher said sadly: "From childhood to adulthood, I always indulged him in whatever he wanted. It was all for his future, but he didn't understand. No one understood. Even my wife thought I killed my son."

The teacher's story reminded Duc Anh of his family. Duc Anh's father wanted him to become a famous pianist, but he was a firefighter. Duc Anh's obsession stemmed from the loss of his brother, which caused a difficult time for his family, especially him and his father.

Duc Anh encouraged the teacher: “If we keep looking at a mistake without being able to correct it, we will unintentionally forget the good and right things we should do.” Hearing these words, the teacher agreed to donate his son’s heart so that his son could continue to “live”.

In this episode, Duc Anh also has the opportunity to meet his old classmate. The two go for a walk and reminisce about their school days. In another development, Ha sees many missed calls from her mother and calls back, but receives news that her mother is in the emergency room at the hospital.
