According to the 2025 university and college admission guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates are required to complete all three steps to ensure the registration process for admission applications in 2025 is finalized.

Step 1: Register your preferences from July 16th to 5 PM on July 28th.

To complete this process, candidates must register online, submitting all their application preferences to the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admissions Support System at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn or indirectly through the National Public Service Portal. All candidates, including those who were previously eligible for direct admission to universities, must also follow this procedure.

During the 13-day period (from July 16th to 5 PM on July 28th), candidates can register, adjust, and add their application preferences an unlimited number of times.

Candidates use their assigned accounts to process information (enter, edit, view) on the system. The information candidates need to enter is on the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admissions Support System.

Candidates applying for admission to all universities must register their preferences by major/program and rank them from 1 to the last (preference 1 being the highest priority). Simultaneously, candidates must provide the relevant data (according to the criteria, conditions, and registration procedures specified in the universities' admission information) corresponding to the major/program they have applied for, so that the universities can use this information for admission consideration.

All candidate preferences for admission to training institutions will be processed through the system, and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest-ranked preference among those registered, provided they meet the admission requirements.

Step 2: Pay the application fee from July 29th to 5 PM on August 5th.

After completing the application process, candidates are required to pay the application fee through the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admissions Support System.

Candidates must pay the application fee online according to the number of their application preferences, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Without completing this step, the candidate's application process for university admission is considered incomplete.

Step 3: Confirm your enrollment online before 5 PM on August 30th.

According to the admissions process, at 5 PM on August 30th, training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review them, and prepare to announce the results of the first admission round according to the general schedule.

Successful candidates (including those admitted directly) must confirm their enrollment on the system (if they wish to study) before 5 PM on August 30th, also on the Ministry of Education and Training's general enrollment support system. Candidates who are admitted but do not confirm their enrollment will be considered to have declined admission.

Following the general admissions period, from September 1st to December, candidates wishing to apply for supplementary admissions rounds at educational institutions should register their supplementary preferences according to the admissions information of schools that still have available slots. Candidates who have been admitted and have confirmed their enrollment are not eligible for supplementary admissions, except in cases where the head of the educational institution allows them not to enroll.
