Registering for university and college admission: 3 steps candidates must 'remember by heart'

Candidates registering for university and college admission in 2025 need to complete the 3 new procedures to ensure their chances of admission.

Candidates have 13 days to register their university and college admission wishes this year.

According to the 2025 university and college admission guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates are required to complete the 3-step process to ensure completion of the 2025 admission application registration process.

Step 1: Register your wishes from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.

To do this, candidates must register for admission online, submitting all admission wishes to the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admission Support System at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn or indirectly through the National Public Service Portal. All candidates, including candidates who are eligible for direct admission to previous schools, must also complete this process.

During the 13-day period (from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28), candidates can register, adjust, and add admission wishes an unlimited number of times.

Candidates use the granted account to process information (enter, edit, view) on the system. Candidates need to enter the information on the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates' wishes for admission to all schools are registered by major/program and are ranked from 1 to the end (wish 1 is the highest wish). At the same time, candidates must provide data (according to criteria, conditions, and registration procedures specified in the schools' admission information) corresponding to the major/program that candidates have registered for schools to use for admission consideration.

All candidates' wishes to enter the training facility will be processed on the system and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring the admission conditions.

Step 2: Pay the application fee from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5.

After completing the registration of wishes, candidates are required to take the next step of paying the admission fee on the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates must pay the admission fee according to the number of admission wishes online according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Without performing this step, the candidate's application process is considered incomplete.

Step 3: Confirm admission online before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.

According to the admission process, at 5:00 p.m. on August 30, training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

Admitted candidates (including direct admission candidates) must confirm their admission on the system (if they wish to study) before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, also on the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training. Admitted candidates who do not confirm their admission will be considered as refusing to enroll.

After the general admission round, from September 1 to December, candidates who wish to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institution, must register their additional wishes according to the admission information of the schools that still have quotas. Candidates who have passed the admission and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admission, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll.
