Sharing with VietNamNet , Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Vice Principal of the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) said that after 11 virtual filtering rounds, the standard scores of the school's majors ranged from 24 to 29.5 points in the method of considering high school graduation exam scores. The highest standard score of 29.5 belongs to a major that is in the current development trend.

For other methods, the University of Information Technology does not convert the admission scores of each candidate to a common scale but applies the percentile method based on the conversion framework announced by Ho Chi Minh City National University and the Ministry of Education and Training; at the same time, it combines the learning results of students in previous years and the registration status of candidates. This method is to ensure that the admission scores between methods (using high school graduation exam scores, capacity assessment, high school learning results...) are equivalent according to percentile and are suitable for the input requirements of each major.

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training has increased the virtual filtering process by 4 times before schools announce the benchmark scores. Mr. Khang said that the benchmark scores are expected to change in the next virtual filtering processes.

In 2024, the benchmark score of the University of Information Technology fluctuates between 25.55 and 28.3 points. Artificial Intelligence is the major with the highest benchmark score of 28.3 points; followed by Data Science and Computer Science with 27.5 and 27.3 points, respectively.
