This year, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology is enrolling four new majors, including: Digital Economy , Communications and Public Relations, Applied Information Technology (standard program) and Digital Marketing (high-quality program). The school increased its enrollment by 460 compared to last year, to 4,280.
The Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology recruits students by 4 methods: 55% of the admission quota is based on graduation exam scores, 15% of the quota is based on competency and thinking assessment scores. The remaining 30% of the admission quota is based on combined consideration. Compared to 2022, the quota for graduation exam scores is reduced by 10%.
With the combined admission method, applicants must fall into one of four groups. Group one is candidates with SAT scores of 1130/1600 and ACT scores of 25/36 ACT or higher.
Group 2, are candidates with IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 65, TOEFL 513 or higher.
Group 3: Students who won consolation prizes in the national excellent student competition or first, second, or third prizes at the provincial level in Math, Physics, Chemistry, or IT. All three groups must have an average score of at least 7.5 for three years of high school or the first semester of grade 12, and conduct of good or better.
Group 4: Students majoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and IT from specialized schools, with an average score of 8 or higher in three years or the first semester of grade 12, and a minimum good conduct. The admission score for this method is the total average score of three subjects according to the combination in high school or five semesters (except the second semester of grade 12) and priority points.
With the method of using test scores to assess ability and thinking, candidates are eligible for admission if they achieve at least 80 points on the Hanoi National University exam, 700 points on the Ho Chi Minh City National University exam or 60 points on the Hanoi University of Science and Technology exam. Admission scores will be converted to a scale of 30 plus priority points.
