Hue City allows more than 294,000 students to stay home from school from the afternoon of October 22 to prepare for storm Fengshen.

GD&TĐ - On the afternoon of October 22, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City announced that all students in Hue City would be off school to prevent storm Fengshen (storm number 12).

Implementing the direction of the leaders of Hue City People's Committee, to ensure the safety of teachers and students, limit the damage caused by storm Fengshen and storm circulation, Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hue City, said that he has issued Notice No. 4613/SGDĐT-VP on allowing students to stay home from school.

All schools and educational institutions across the city will be closed from the afternoon of October 22 and October 23.

Schools and educational institutions seriously implement storm and flood prevention work at their units.

Low-lying areas were flooded on the morning of October 22.

On the morning of October 22, floodwaters rose in some low-lying areas due to hydroelectric plants and reservoirs releasing water before storm Fengshen to welcome the flood.

From the afternoon of October 22 and October 23, all students in Hue City will have a day off.

Hue City currently has over 500 schools and educational facilities with a total of 294,643 students, of which 62,447 are preschool students; 107,237 are primary school students; 82,395 are junior high school students; 38,172 are high school students; and 4,392 are continuing education students, including 259 junior high school students and 4,133 are high school students.
