In order to strengthen the education of local cultural identity and improve the quality of comprehensive education, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued a Plan on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in educational institutions, period 2025 - 2030. This plan is expected to build a school environment rich in humanity and imbued with national identity.
According to the Plan, Tuyen Quang province sets a target that by 2030, 100% of general education and continuing education facilities in the area must effectively maintain traditional cultural education activities.

The breakthrough is the requirement that each school must build its own “national cultural space” to display artifacts, musical instruments, costumes, folk songs, folk dances, folk games and typical local cultural products. This is considered a vivid, visual foundation to foster pride and awareness of preserving national identity for the younger generation.
The plan also highlights the need to innovate educational methods. Schools are encouraged to promote the collection and exploitation of cultural values, with the specific goal of including 5 to 10 folk games, folk songs, or traditional cultural activities in the annual extracurricular and collective activities.
To ensure professionalism, Tuyen Quang province will organize training and fostering for teachers on methods of integrating traditional cultural content into subjects and experiential activities. In particular, the Plan emphasizes strengthening the connection with the community through opening teaching classes directly instructed by folk artists and prestigious people.
Educational content will be flexibly integrated through topics such as "Pride in my homeland's culture" or "I love my hometown's heritage", suitable for each grade level.
Educational institutions are encouraged to create electronic learning materials, digital lectures, and videos on folk songs, dances, and festivals, and to digitize, record, and film them to preserve documents, dances, and folk games. This is an effective solution to spread culture in a modern way.
Cultural exchange activities are promoted: Maintaining and developing folk culture clubs; Regularly organizing field trips and practical learning in association with museums and local cultural institutions; Organizing provincial-level folk song and dance festivals for high school students in 2027 and 2030, creating a large playground to spread the conservation movement.
The Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang plays the role of chairing and providing professional guidance. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism supports the collection and introduction of artisans. Meanwhile, the Department of Finance advises on budget arrangement. The coordination of the Provincial Police, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Women's Union and the People's Committees at the grassroots level ensures that the Plan is implemented synchronously and effectively from the central to local levels.
This is a strategic step forward for Tuyen Quang province, not only aiming at education but also contributing significantly to the preservation and promotion of valuable cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in the province.
