"Bright spot" VSIP Thai Binh: More than 64% of households voluntarily handed over land early

VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park (IP) project, a key project expected to create a breakthrough for the regional economy , has achieved outstanding success in site clearance (GPMB) in Dong Thuy Anh commune. This is not only a testament to the high determination of authorities at all levels, but also a victory of humane policies, demonstrating absolute consensus between the government and the people.

After the two-level local government came into operation, the People's Committee of Dong Thuy Anh commune received the project for implementation, established a Steering Committee, Propaganda Teams, Security and Order Teams, Counting Teams, and Professional Teams to carry out site clearance for projects throughout Dong Thuy Anh commune.

For the VSIP Industrial Park project, the locality has organized a meeting with the people to disseminate the compensation, support and resettlement policies; issued a notice of land recovery and sent it to households whose land was recovered. Up to now, 62/66 households in phase 1, 104/112 households in phase 2 have been declared and counted, and the public land managed by the Commune People's Committee has been completed. Notably, an impressive number has been recorded, out of 190 households receiving notice of land recovery, 122 households have voluntarily handed over the land before the prescribed deadline, demonstrating absolute trust in the development orientation of the locality.

The People's Committee of Dong Thuy Anh commune is actively coordinating with specialized agencies to develop a compensation plan, support and arrange 3 resettlement areas for households whose land has been counted, expected to be approved in November 2025. As for residential land, the commune strives to complete and approve the compensation plan in the first quarter of 2026. These are specific timelines, showing the careful preparation of the locality to ensure social security before reclaiming residential land.

The voluntary land handover of more than 64% of affected households is a rare positive sign in large-scale land acquisition projects. This shows that the propaganda and mobilization work has gone into depth, reaching the awareness and long-term interests of the people. The people of Dong Thuy Anh commune, who are attached to agricultural land, have clearly understood the strategic significance of giving up land for the VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park project.

Mr. Tran Tuan Kiet, Chairman of Dong Thuy Anh Commune People's Committee, shared that this success came from the fact that the local government, especially Dong Thuy Anh Commune People's Committee, mobilized the entire political system to participate. The site clearance work was organized methodically and assigned specific tasks, thereby helping to ensure that all people's concerns were listened to and resolved promptly.

To create high consensus, the commune government has implemented the principle of absolute publicity and transparency in all stages. Compensation, support and resettlement policies are widely disseminated through regular meetings. All information on compensation and support levels is made public so that people clearly understand their rights and obligations, eliminating any suspicion of unfairness.

The voluntary land handover by the people is not only an act of compliance with the law but also a belief in a brighter future. VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park, with a total investment capital of over 4,900 billion VND, is shaped as one of the most modern and synchronous industrial parks in the Northern Delta region. The formation of the Industrial Park not only attracts domestic and foreign investment capital but also creates tens of thousands of jobs for local workers, helping young workers to work right in their hometown, reducing the "burden" of leaving home.
