Some schools suddenly stop considering admission based on separate exam scores
Up to now, there are about 50 higher education institutions using the thinking assessment results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for admission. The majors can use the thinking assessment test results for university admission.
These schools belong to the fields of science, technology, economics, foreign trade, finance, banking, medicine, pharmacy; industry, agriculture, etc.
Surprisingly, in 2025, some schools announced that they would stop considering admission based on thinking assessment test scores.
This year, the Academy of Finance plans to enroll 6,320 full-time university students this year (an increase of 1,820 compared to last year).
Of which, the academy has 3,300 enrollment quotas for international certificate-oriented programs; 2,700 quotas for standard programs; and 320 quotas for international joint programs.
Compared to last year, this year the Academy of Finance has abandoned the admission method based on the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam; and has abandoned the consideration of the results of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment exam.
Last year, the academy reserved at least 5% of its quota for candidates to participate in the admission process based on the results of these two separate exams.
Hanoi University plans to enroll 3,350 students this year through 9 admission groups, including: D01 (math, literature, English), D02 (math, literature, Russian), D03 (math, literature, French), D04 (math, literature, Chinese), D05 (math, literature, German), D06 (math, literature, Japanese), DD2 (math, literature, Korean), A01 (math, physics, English), TH01 (math, information technology, English).
In particular, in 2025, the school will officially eliminate the admission method combining capacity assessment and thinking assessment tests organized by universities.
In the 4 expected admission methods in 2025 just announced by Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment , there is no admission based on the thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Specifically, this school plans to enroll students in 4 ways:
Method 1 : Direct admission, priority admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 2: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025.
Method 3: Admission based on high school academic results (High School Transcript).
Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Hanoi National University Competency Assessment Exam.
