The leader of Tay Ho District Police ( Hanoi ) said that they are focusing on investigating and clarifying the cause of the male shipper being assaulted by the driver of a Lexus car, suspected to be due to a traffic collision in the area.
On the evening of February 10, a clip was circulated on social media recording a young man believed to be a shipper being assaulted by a middle-aged man, suspected to be due to a traffic collision.
According to the clip, at 12:27 on February 10, a security camera of a household in Yen Phu ward (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) recorded a scene where a young man driving a motorbike had a conflict with a man driving a Lexus car. After that, the man driving the Lexus car repeatedly used his hands to hit and punch the young man in the face.
Not stopping there, this man repeatedly "kneeled" and kicked the young man in the face. The climax of the incident was when the man took off the male shipper's helmet to use as an attack weapon. The assault only stopped when 3 other people got out of the car to intervene.
After the clip was posted, many people expressed their outrage at the middle-aged man's assault on another person.
On February 11, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, a leader of Tay Ho District Police said that the incident happened on February 10, in Yen Phu Ward. Immediately after receiving the information, the police agency stepped in, focused on investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
According to Tay Ho District Police, the case is being investigated and clarified, so specific information cannot be provided yet. When specific information is available, the police will inform later.
