From Germany, Bild newspaper reported that MU officially sent an offer of 85 million euros (75 million euros fee + 10 million euros bonus) for the transfer of Benjamin Sesko.

This is also the number that Newcastle offered to Leipzig in the first offer to buy the 22-year-old striker.

However, according to the above source, Newcastle have now increased their offer to €90 million (€80 million transfer fee + €10 million in bonuses) for the Slovenian striker.

Journalist Ben Jacobs also provided more information about the transfer that is attracting attention: Benjamin Sesko has reached a verbal financial agreement with both MU and Newcastle .

Theoretically, Leipzig would accept the higher offer for Sesko, which in this case is Newcastle. However, transfer expert David Ornstein has good news for Red Devils fans: the player would prefer to play at Old Trafford.

With the dramatic race between MU and Newcastle and negotiations ongoing, according to sources, Benjamin Sesko was present at Leipzig's training ground on Tuesday (August 5) but practiced separately. His departure from the Bundesliga club is only a matter of days.

If United were to sign Sesko, the biggest blow to Old Trafford would be Rasmus Hojlund, whose future is uncertain. Scoring just four Premier League goals in 32 appearances last season has led Ruben Amorim and the United hierarchy to consider letting the Danish striker leave early.

It is unlikely that United will recoup the £64m they spent on Hojlund two years ago this summer, so a loan deal would be the best option for him to regain his form. There is information that Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with Hojlund at Leverkusen.
