Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee decided to adjust and supplement a number of points of Decision No. 3533/QD-UBND dated September 29, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the Dong Nai Riverbank Road Construction Investment Project.

Specifically, adjusting Clause 4, Article 1 of Decision No. 3533: Investing in completing the route with a length of about 5.2km (land use area of more than 17.9ha) starting point of the project at pier A, Hoa An bridge, the end point of the project bordering the old Vinh Cuu district. The main items include: investing in completing the roadbed and road surface; traffic signal system; drainage system; paved sidewalk; trees; construction of Rach Lung bridge; investing in lighting system and transformer station supplying lighting power.

Adjusting Clause 8, Article 1 of Decision No. 3533, the land use area of the project is more than 17.9 hectares. Along with that, adding to Point a, Clause 11.1.2, Article 1 of Decision No. 3533: For the sidewalk area from Km4+447 to Km4+479 (river embankment side), the sidewalk design at Km4+447, keeping the original design with a width of 5m and gradually decreasing to 4m in the middle of the section from Km4+447 to Km4+479, then gradually increasing to 5m at Km4+479. The sidewalk section from Km4+022.44 to Km4+500 (Vo Ha Thanh ancient villa side) is arranged with a combination of 5m sidewalks, 3 parking bays and flower beds close to the edge of the road.

According to Project Management Board of Area 1, after the Provincial People's Committee decided to adjust the project, the unit is preparing and submitting for approval the project design adjustment.

It is known that the adjustment of the Dong Nai River Road Project is to implement the plan to "straighten" the route section passing through the ancient villa area of Vo Ha Thanh to preserve this project. Previously, the Provincial People's Committee also decided to approve the local adjustment of the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan of Buu Long Tourist and Residential Area, Buu Long Ward (old), now Tran Bien Ward.

According to the original plan, to serve the construction of the Dong Nai riverside road, the ancient villa Vo Ha Thanh will be demolished by about 9m, equivalent to about half of this project. Therefore, many experts and scientists have commented that it is necessary to adjust the plan to retain this project to preserve and promote its cultural, historical and architectural values.

The Provincial People's Committee then assigned the Department of Construction to review and propose plans to preserve the ancient villa Vo Ha Thanh. The Department of Construction proposed 4 plans, including the plan to "straighten" the road along the Dong Nai River passing through the ancient villa area Vo Ha Thanh to preserve this project. This plan was approved by the province for implementation.
