Reenactment of the Trach Xa Tailoring Ancestor Procession
The activity of reenacting the Procession of the Ancestor of the Trach Xa Village Tailoring Profession - a national intangible cultural heritage, gathered 110 artisans and people, including many typical artisans such as Artisan Nghiem Van Dat, who has fueled the tradition of Trach Xa Ao Dai tailoring profession to reach far and wide.
The procession recreates the tradition of the Trach Xa tailoring village, which is over 1,000 years old, honoring the founder Nguyen Thi Sen, one of the four queens of King Dinh Tien Hoang, and recognizing the famous "hereditary" tailoring profession with its sophisticated manual techniques. This is a typical cultural feature of Trach Xa, with traditional ceremonies such as the opening ceremony, the opening ceremony of the year, and the death anniversary of the tailoring profession in December.
In addition, the Vietnamese Costume Festival parade "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh" took place with nearly 800 people participating in the parade in the walking space in traditional costumes, five-panel ao dai and traditional Vietnamese costumes, divided into many different blocks recreating Vietnamese costumes through the periods. The blocks include: Block representing Vietnamese traditional costumes (five-panel ao dai, ao dai can, veston); block of traditional costumes of 54 ethnic groups responding to 80 years of "Independence - Freedom - Happiness"; block of national costumes of Ly - Tran, Le, Nguyen dynasties; block of ASEAN traditional costumes; block of accompanying and sponsoring units; block of community responding to "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh" and people freely participating in traditional costumes. The structure of the parade both shows the depth of history of Vietnamese costumes and spreads the love of traditional costumes in the community.

Participating in the parade of traditional and modern ao dai were designer Trinh Bich Thuy (Trinh Fashion); collections by designers Mai Hoa, Thanh Design, Hoi Thanh Xuan Moi, Institute of Applied Arts Research of Vietnamese Craft Villages, Vietnam Consumer Cooperative Union with the participation of more than 100 female cadres of Hoan Kiem ward. The collections brought a harmonious combination of tradition and modern creativity.
In addition, members of the Hanoi City Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club, along with many people and tourists, showed off their Ao Dai in traditional Ao Dai designs and ancient costumes, creating a colorful cultural space in the center of the capital. The activity aims to honor the beauty of Ao Dai, the image of Hanoi women and promote the image of the capital as a cultured, civilized, and modern city to domestic and international friends.
Bus Tour "Touching Autumn in Hanoi"
Within the framework of the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Parade 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism organizes a tour to experience "Touching Hanoi Autumn" by double-decker bus for tourists wearing Ao Dai. The tour departs at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m., with 4 trips passing through many famous tourist destinations such as: Opera House, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, West Lake, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda... Tourists can experience and capture the moments of Hanoi's autumn, thereby spreading the image of Ao Dai as a typical tourism product.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang emphasized that the Hanoi Autumn Ao Dai Parade is the activity that concludes the exciting days of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival with extremely rich and meaningful activities, attracting positive responses from the community and high social influence. Through this program, the capital's tourism sector wishes to honor and promote the intangible cultural heritage of Ao Dai, converging and spreading the cultural values of Vietnamese Ao Dai; arousing national pride and love for Ao Dai among the people and tourists; linking the preservation and promotion of heritage values with tourism development; at the same time promoting the image of Hanoi tourism, both preserving Vietnamese cultural identity and actively integrating internationally in culture in the new era.
The 2025 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival with the theme "Hanoi Ao Dai - Shining the quintessence of heritage" will take place from November 6-9, 2025 at the Hanoi Museum and will be followed by parade activities and the "Touching Autumn Hanoi" bus tour on November 15. The festival will gather nearly 80 booths of designers, fashion brands, traditional craft villages and art training establishments, creating a rich cultural and creative space for people and tourists. During the four days of organization, many unique art activities will be continuously implemented: the Opening Ceremony recreating the Ao Dai heritage journey; performing 12 collections of famous designers; photo exhibition space and experiencing traditional crafts; workshop activities, trying on Ao Dai, taking photos and exchanging. The Ao Dai design contest “Ao Dai – Connecting Heritage” and the Ao Dai Performance with the participation of more than 600 women, students and pupils have strongly spread the love of Ao Dai in the community.
The festival attracted tens of thousands of visitors, experienced, took photos and interacted, becoming an event to honor Ao Dai in contemporary life and contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi - the capital of culture, civilization and creativity to domestic and foreign tourists.
