Ao Dai performance affirms cultural identity in the integration period

(PLVN) - On November 9, at the Hanoi Museum, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Women's Union organized the Ao Dai performance program "Women of the Capital - Integration and Development" to welcome the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi and the 17th Congress of Hanoi Women's Congress, term 2025-2030. This is an event within the framework of the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025, Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025 organized by the Hanoi People's Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, President of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh emphasized that in the context of increasingly strong international integration and cultural exchange, wearing Ao Dai is not only a choice of clothing but also shows love and respect for traditional culture.

In the journey of preserving and promoting the quintessence of national culture, the ao dai is an indispensable part, an outfit that honors the beauty of Vietnamese women, reflecting the cultural identity and people of Vietnam: gentle yet sophisticated, simple yet noble, ancient yet modern, the pride of the nation.

With the theme "Ao Dai Dance - Colors of Capital Women", the program brought new colors, honoring the value of Ao Dai in social life, honoring the elegant and civilized beauty of Capital women.

The program had the participation of nearly 600 delegates from ministries, departments, central branches, city leaders, ao dai designers, models, families and representatives of women from all walks of life in the capital. The ao dai performances with music and folk dances performed by non-professional models contributed to creating a colorful ao dai space with the strength of the community, together spreading the message of love for ao dai, the beauty of women in the capital, while contributing to promoting the image of the thousand-year-old capital, civilized, modern, as a safe, friendly and attractive destination for domestic and international friends.

In particular, there was a folk dance performance by 350 members of the Capital's Women's Union to the songs "For Your Smile" and "Hanoi's Constructions" expressing the spirit of integration and development, the dynamic, healthy and youthful beauty of Hanoi women.
