
This is an important people-to-people diplomacy event of the city to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries.
With the theme “Strengthening humanistic exchanges to strengthen Vietnam-China friendship”, this year’s contest attracted the participation of nearly 1,000 contestants from units and localities across the country. After the second preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected the 25 best contestants from 15 provinces and cities to compete in the final round.
Speaking at the contest, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: Up to now, the Final Round of the Chinese Speaking Contest held in Da Nang City has taken place 7 times, and this is the 4th consecutive time held on a national scale. The contest has always received the response and active participation of a large number of students, young people, and Chinese language lovers across the country every year. Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries, enhancing understanding and exchange between the Vietnamese and Chinese people, especially among the young generation.

"This is the generation that holds an important position and role in continuing, nurturing and developing the traditional Vietnam-China friendship to continuously bear fruit. At the same time, we hope that the contest will also be a forum to spread the spirit of solidarity and friendship, contributing positively to peace , cooperation and development of the two countries and the region," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh emphasized.

After hours of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee selected and awarded the First Prize to the Lao Cai Province Union of Friendship Organizations Team. 3 Second Prizes were awarded to the Diplomatic Academy, Dong A University (Da Nang), and University of Foreign Languages (Hue). 5 Third Prizes were awarded to the University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang), Duy Tan University (Da Nang), Thu Dau Mot University, Hanoi University of Industry, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology.
