Determining the Vietnam U20 women's group at the 2026 AFC U20 Championship

VHO - The Vietnam U20 women's team has determined its opponents in the group stage of the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship Finals.

On the afternoon of November 10, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the draw ceremony to divide the groups for the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship. Vietnam's U20 Women's Championship was placed in group 3 with Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan.

Sharing about this result, the head coach of the Vietnam U20 women's team - Okiyama Masahiki said: "Now the draw results and the order of the matches have been decided. First of all, to prepare for the first match against China, I want to carefully analyze my opponent.

The second match will be against hosts Thailand. I want to turn the regret at the 2025 AFF U19 Championship into motivation to prepare and win.

In the third match against Bangladesh, the whole team will be determined to win all 3 points to achieve the goal of advancing to the quarter-finals and moving towards the following goals. We will prepare carefully together to win the opportunity to participate in the World Cup for the first time."

The 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship will take place in Thailand from April 1 to 18, 2026.

According to the rules, the teams will compete in a round robin format, with points calculated. The top two teams in each group, along with the two third-placed teams with the best records, will advance to the quarter-finals.
