Besides, the team welcomes the return of two experienced Ala Tran Thai Huy and Ngo Ngoc Son.
Both, along with Nguyen Minh Tri and Pham Duc Hoa, are faces that have contributed greatly to the historic journey of helping Vietnamese Futsal to participate for the first time in the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
Notably, coach Giustozzi also gave opportunities to rookie Nguyen Tien Hung, a promising young Ala who grew up from the Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City training center.

Before this training session, the Vietnamese team showed impressive performance in the 2026 Asian Futsal Qualifiers with three wins against Lebanon, China and Hong Kong (China).
Before that, in the period from mid-March to early April, the team had a series of 4 quality international friendly matches, winning 2 matches against Saudi Arabia (2-1, 3-2), winning 1 and drawing 1 against Kazakhstan (4-1, 2-2).
These results help coach Giustozzi's students have a favorable psychological momentum, strengthening their confidence in the goal of winning tickets to the 2026 Asian Futsal Finals and aiming for the 33rd SEA Games.
The men's Futsal event at SEA Games 33 has 5 teams including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar, competing in a round robin to determine the final ranking.
