Match schedule of Vietnam men's Futsal team at SEA Games 33

VHO - The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has just announced the schedule for the men's Futsal event. Accordingly, the Vietnamese men's Futsal team will begin their journey to compete at the regional sports festival held in Thailand from early December.

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam men's Futsal team will compete in a round-robin format with opponents from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar. The matches will take place at the Nonthaburi Gymnasium.

According to the schedule, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team will meet Malaysia on December 16, Indonesia on December 17, Thailand on December 18 and end the tournament with a match against Myanmar on December 19.

The teams will compete in a round robin to determine points and rankings. According to experts, host Thailand and Indonesia are the two biggest rivals of the Vietnamese team at the upcoming congress.

In the history of participating in the SEA Games, the Vietnamese team has never won a gold medal.

The team's best achievement was winning 2 silver medals at the 2011 and 2013 SEA Games. At the 2 most recent SEA Games in 2017 and 2022, the team won bronze medals.

According to the plan, the Vietnam Futsal team will train in Ho Chi Minh City with 20 players from November 10 to December 10, then go to Thailand to attend the 33rd SEA Games.

With an even force, determination and careful preparation, the Vietnamese team aims to be in the top two leading teams at the congress in Thailand.
