80 delegations participated in the 8th Sports Congress of the Education and Training Sector of Dien Bien Province

VHO - On November 15 and 16, the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien province organized the 8th Sports Congress of the Department of Education and Training and the 2025 Open Badminton, Table Tennis, and Pickleball Tournament of the Department of Education and Training.

The 8th Sports Congress of the Education and Training Sector of Dien Bien province in 2025 is the first Congress held when Dien Bien province implements the two-level local government model. With 8 times of organization, this is the largest Sports Congress ever.

The Congress was attended by more than 80 delegations, competing in 13 sports, 108 events, over 4,000 athletes from communes, wards and units under the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien. Demonstrating the strong spread of the sports movement in the whole industry, contributing to promoting the connection between localities, improving the quality of physical training movements in schools, towards the goal of comprehensive education and comprehensive human development in the new era.

Phase I of the Games was a great success with nearly 2,500 athletes competing in 6 sports. Phase II of the Games continued to be held on a large scale, including 7 sports: table tennis, chess, Chinese chess, Pickleball, dance sports, dance entertainment and swimming with nearly 1,400 athletes participating.
