Ministry of Public Security working group: Survey of online public services and national databases in Da Nang

DNO - On September 23, working group No. 3 led by Colonel Tran Hong Phu, Deputy Director of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police (Ministry of Public Security) worked with the People's Committee of Da Nang city to survey the current status of administrative procedures, online public services and national and specialized databases in the area.

The survey program is part of the preparation for the digital transformation process and operation of the two-level local government model after the merger.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with businesses and technology corporations to review administrative procedures, information technology infrastructure and database systems throughout the city.

As of September 19, 8/16 departments and branches have fully completed the survey content as required in Official Dispatch No. 6084/TCT of the Ministry of Public Security .

Currently, Da Nang has two data centers, located in the city and the old Quang Nam area. The city is proposing to interconnect these two centers according to the DC - DR (main - backup) model, and at the same time upgrade the transmission line to 10Gbps to ensure long-term operational efficiency.

The Da Nang Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC) has initially shown its effectiveness, but it is necessary to continue investing in upgrading infrastructure and adding human resources, especially at commune and ward-level centers after the merger.

Currently, Da Nang has provided 95% of administrative procedures as full-service online public services, the digitization rate of records has reached 64%, with about 260,000 citizens having digital citizen accounts.

However, the actual usage rate is only about 65%, showing that there is still a lot of potential to promote people to use digital services.

The survey team acknowledged the city's efforts in digital transformation, while emphasizing the role of inter-sectoral coordination to perfect the data system and technology infrastructure, better serving people and businesses.
