The delegation of Thai Binh province visited and expressed condolences at the Thai Binh Diocese Bishop's Palace on the passing of Pope Francis.

Upon hearing the news of Pope Francis' passing, on the morning of April 26, a delegation from Thai Binh province, including comrades Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, visited, encouraged, and expressed condolences to Bishop Dominic Dang Van Cau, dignitaries, priests, officials, and Catholics at the Thai Binh Diocese Bishop's Palace.

Delegation of Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province offered incense to commemorate Pope Francis.

Provincial leaders burned incense and observed a minute of silence in memory of Pope Francis . They also expressed their deepest condolences and sympathy to Bishop Dominic Dang Van Cau, dignitaries, priests, officials, and Catholics on the passing of the Pope.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council offered incense to commemorate Pope Francis .

Pope Francis passed away at 7:35 a.m. on April 21, 2025, Vatican time (12:35 p.m. Vietnam time), at the age of 88. The Pope's death has left deep sorrow, not only for the Catholic Church, but also for the global community and leaders of many countries around the world . The Pope is a religious leader who represents compassion, humility and constantly strives for peace, justice and solidarity, reconciliation between peoples and religions, always concerned and caring for the poor, the weak, and the less fortunate in society, contributing to building a just, charitable and united society.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, signed the condolence book.

On behalf of priests, dignitaries, officials, and Catholics in the province, Bishop Dominic Dang Van Cau thanked the provincial leaders for their concern and condolences over the passing of Pope Francis. At the same time, he emphasized: With the spiritual faith that God and the legacy that Pope Francis left behind, he will continue to help the Catholic community promote more strongly the spirit of "Respect for God, love for the country", together build the great national unity bloc, actively contribute to the construction of the homeland, the country of Vietnam and solidarity and peace in the world.
