Hung Yen province delegation attends the 43rd UNESCO General Assembly session

On October 30, in Samarkand city, Republic of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) solemnly opened the 43rd Session.

At the opening session, the delegation of Hung Yen province was led by comrade Nguyen Van Chien, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrades   Deputy Head of the delegation : Quach Thi Huong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Principal of Nguyen Van Linh Political School; Vu Ngoc Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and other attending members.

The conference takes place from October 30 to November 13, 2025. Within the framework of the conference, the UNESCO General Assembly will discuss and decide on many important issues on science, culture and education of the United Nations; including content related to Vietnam and Hung Yen province.

Comrade Nguyen Van Chien, Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and the working delegation presented a book about cultural celebrity Le Quy Don to the representative of the Japanese delegation.

On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation of Hung Yen province paid a courtesy call and met with Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Head of the Vietnamese delegation to UNESCO in the French Republic; Ms. Audrey Aziulay, Director General of UNESCO; Mr. Xing Qu - Deputy Director General of UNESCO and representatives of delegations from Laos, Cuba, Japan and Korea.
