Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam, on January 6, a high-ranking delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria led by Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov visited and learned about the reality in Ninh Binh province.
The delegation included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam Pavlin Todorov; Bulgarian parliamentarians ; and Comrade Vu Hai Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly 's Foreign Affairs Committee.
Receiving and working with the delegation from Ninh Binh province were comrades: Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Viet Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Welcoming the Chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov and the high-ranking delegation of the Bulgarian National Assembly, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan thanked the delegation for choosing Ninh Binh as the first destination during their official visit to Vietnam. He also affirmed that the visit of the Chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov contributes to strengthening and further cultivating the good political relationship between the two countries. This will open up opportunities for localities of the two countries, including Ninh Binh, to promote cooperation and development, contributing to deepening the relationship between the two countries.
Providing general information about the geographical location, historical and cultural values of the province, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: Ninh Binh is proud to be the capital of Dai Co Viet State - the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam, established thousands of years ago. This is a very unique capital combining the characteristics of a stone capital, a river capital and a seaport capital, closely intertwining the physical architecture of the capital and the stunning natural landscape.
Ninh Binh is considered the center of two major religions in Vietnam: Buddhism and Catholicism. Ninh Binh has Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage - a mixed heritage in Southeast Asia to date.
Sharing experiences in leadership and direction of socio-economic development along with major orientations of Ninh Binh province, the Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee said: Ninh Binh's orientation by 2035 is to become a centrally-governed city with the characteristics of a millennium heritage city, a creative city, deeply integrated into the network of heritage cities, heritage economy, and cultural industry worldwide.
Expressing admiration for the development of Bulgaria - home to the beautiful capital Sophia, and the long-standing good relationship between the two States and peoples, especially Bulgaria's wholehearted support for Vietnam in the struggle for national independence and post-war national construction, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan believes that the visit of the Chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly will open up cooperation opportunities between localities of Vietnam in general, Ninh Binh province in particular, and heritage cities of Bulgaria, contributing to fostering good relations between the two countries, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries.

Bulgarian National Assembly Chairman Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov thanked Ninh Binh province for the thoughtful and respectful reception for the delegation. Emphasizing the purpose and significance of this official visit to Vietnam, the Bulgarian National Assembly Chairman said: The delegation's official visit to Vietnam took place not long after the official visit to Bulgaria by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue (September 2023), demonstrating Bulgaria's desire to further promote the good traditional relations between the two countries and the two National Assemblies.
During the period 1950-1980, the relationship between the two countries was developed within the framework of the socialist model and there were more than 30,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Bulgaria, contributing to promoting the development of the relationship between the two countries and the people of Bulgaria and Vietnam.
In recent years, the relationship between the two countries has developed positively and effectively, especially in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economic development in the fields of energy, economy, culture, etc.
Informing about a number of major diplomatic events scheduled to take place in 2024, the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly believes that the relationship between Bulgaria and Vietnam will continue to be strengthened in all areas, including trade, high technology, culture, tourism, etc.
Quoting the proverb "Horses run in herds, birds fly in companions", Bulgarian National Assembly Chairman Rossen Dimitrov Jeliazkov hopes that in the flight towards the future, towards prosperity, Bulgaria and Vietnam will fly together, go together and on that journey, Bulgaria really hopes that Ninh Binh province will share valuable experiences in socio-economic development.
The Chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly expressed his belief that the traditional friendship and solidarity between the Party, State and People of Bulgaria and Vietnam will continue to grow stronger and stronger, and wished Ninh Binh province continued strong development.
