Delegation of Hoa Binh province offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Vi Xuyen front temple, Ha Giang

On the afternoon of July 23, during the journey to the source on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024) in Ha Giang province, the delegation of Hoa Binh province led by comrade Nguyen Van Toan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, offered incense to commemorate the Temple of heroic martyrs of the Vi Xuyen front at the height of 468, Nam Ngat village, Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district.

More than 40 years ago, at the 468 peak, thousands of outstanding people from many regions across the country with the spirit of "Not an inch to go, not a glass to leave" fought intelligently, steadfastly and heroically sacrificed to protect every inch of sacred land on the northern border of the Fatherland. The Vi Xuyen Front's Martyrs' Temple was built to commemorate more than 4,000 officers and soldiers who sacrificed at the 468 peak as well as the Vi Xuyen front, while alsoeducating the younger generation about patriotism and national pride.

In a solemn atmosphere, before the souls of the heroic martyrs at peak 468, comrade Nguyen Van Toan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and delegates offered incense, flowers, and observed a moment of silence to express their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who remained on Vi Xuyen land, heroically sacrificing for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the sovereignty and territorial integrity.
