Delegation of Tuyen Quang province offers incense at the special national historical site of Dong Loc T-junction

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 24, a delegation of Tuyen Quang province led by comrade Ha Trung Kien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the special national historical site of Dong Loc T-junction, Ha Tinh province.

Delegation of Tuyen Quang province offered incense at the Memorial House of the National Youth Volunteer Heroes and Martyrs.

Participating in the incense offering were leaders and representatives of departments, branches, agencies and units of the province.

At the special national historical site of Dong Loc T-junction, the delegation of Tuyen Quang province offered incense, laid wreaths, and offered flowers at the memorial stele of national youth volunteer martyrs and the graves of 10 heroic female youth volunteer martyrs who heroically sacrificed at Dong Loc T-junction.

Comrade Ha Trung Kien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, offered flowers at the tomb of 10 heroic female martyrs of the Dong Loc T-junction Youth Volunteers.

Before the heroic martyrs, the members of the delegation respectfully bowed, expressing their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and unification. The heroic martyrs are forever exemplary examples of patriotism, indomitable will, dedication and noble sacrifice for the independence of the nation.

According to history, from April to October 1968, the Dong Loc T-junction area had to endure nearly 50,000 bombs of all kinds from the American invaders (on average, each square meter of land here had to endure more than 3 bombs); more than 4,000 martyrs nationwide fell on this sacred land. Among them, there was the heroic and courageous sacrifice of 10 female youth volunteers of Squad 4, Company 552 (General Team 55) on July 24, 1968 while on duty to maintain the traffic artery connecting the great rear area in the North with the great front line in the South.

The Dong Loc T-junction National Historical Site was recognized by the Prime Minister as a special national historical site on the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail system in 2013; this place has become a red address, a place to educate patriotism and revolutionary traditions for generations of people across the country.
