In 1771, at Tay Son hamlet, Tay Son district, Quy Nhon prefecture, Binh Dinh town (now Gia Lai province), three Tay Son brothers raised the flag of uprising, leading the peasant uprising movement as a stepping stone for the glorious victories of Emperor Quang Trung.

Later, under the talented leadership of Nguyen Hue, Tay Son generals defeated the North and the South, unified the country, ended the Trinh - Nguyen conflict, and left behind famous achievements throughout the country.
