On the afternoon of June 6, the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hoa Town held a meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Dong Hoa District/Town (July 1, 2005 - July 1, 2025). Attending the meeting were comrades: Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Le Tien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Dao Bao Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; Bui Thanh Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of Tuy Hoa City Party Committee; leaders, former leaders of the province, leaders of Dong Hoa District/Town through the periods.

On May 16, 2005, the Government issued Decree 62/2005/ND-CP on dividing Tuy Hoa district into Dong Hoa district and Tay Hoa district. On July 1, 2005, Dong Hoa district officially came into operation. On April 22, 2020, the Standing Committee of the 14th National Assembly issued Resolution 931 establishing Dong Hoa town with 10 administrative units. From June 1, 2020, Dong Hoa entered a new page, the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces in the town thoroughly grasped and implemented the resolution of the Congress of Delegates of Dong Hoa town Party Committee for the term 2020-2025 with the goal of "Building Dong Hoa into a dynamic economic region of the province by 2025".

After 20 years of formation and development, the economy of Dong Hoa town has achieved stable growth; the economic structure is determined in the direction of "industry - handicraft - construction and trade - services". Infrastructure is constantly invested in and upgraded; the urbanization speed is accelerated; wards and communes are invested in expansion and spaciousness. Cultural and social fields are gradually cared for and developed. Hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and social security are effectively carried out in many forms. National defense and security are maintained.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Cao Thi Hoa An acknowledged, praised and congratulated the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Hoa have achieved in the 20 years of construction and development. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has recently issued an investment policy decision and the Economic Zone Management Board has granted investment registration certificates for two important projects: Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project (phase 1) and Phu Yen High-Tech Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project with a total estimated capital of over 6,500 billion VND. These are driving projects, creating an important premise for this area to make a breakthrough, creating a driving force to promote the province's socio-economic development.

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An emphasized: In the context of the arrangement of new administrative units coming into operation from July 1, 2025, solidarity, consensus and determination will be the key factors to build Dong Hoa land to develop more and more. Therefore, Dong Hoa must be determined, focus on doing well the political and ideological work, information and propaganda to create high internal unity and consensus among the people; not let the arrangement of the apparatus interrupt work, affecting the service to the people and businesses.

After the arrangement, it is necessary to immediately start preparing and successfully organizing the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. I believe that the Party Committee, government, army and people of Dong Hoa and soon Dong Hoa ward, Hoa Hiep ward, Hoa Xuan commune will continue to be united, dynamic, creative, proactive in seizing and taking advantage of opportunities, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, determined to break through, successfully implementing the set tasks and goals, contributing with the whole country and the whole province to create a solid foundation to enter the new era - the era of striving, developing richly and prosperously for the nation.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 18 collectives and 12 individuals of the town with outstanding achievements in implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the emulation movement "For the poor - Leaving no one behind in the period 2021-2025 in the province".
