On January 11, the Youth Union of member units of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation ( PTSC ) (including PPS, PTSC Supply Base, PTSC Marine, PTSC G&S, PVSB and PTSC POS) in coordination with Vung Tau City Youth Union and Regiment 251 under the Naval Region 2 Command organized the launching ceremony of the Tet tree planting campaign "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" and presented the youth project "Sorting waste at source". Attending the ceremony were comrade Dong Thanh Tung - Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of Vung Tau City Youth Union; comrade Doan Thi Huong Giang - Deputy Secretary of Vung Tau City Youth Union; comrade Nguyen Duc Hieu - Deputy Secretary of PTSC Youth Union; and more than 150 youth union members from member units of PTSC.
At the 251st Regiment campus, the members planted 100 yellow trumpet trees - a tree species that not only creates a cool green landscape but also has medicinal value. This is one of the projects in the Green Action Program of PTSC, contributing to realizing the Prime Minister's call to plant 1 billion trees in the 5 years 2021-2025 "For a green Vietnam", and implementing the Plan to plant 3 million trees in the period 2022-2025 of Petrovietnam .
Also in the program, PTSC Youth Union presented 06 trash bins to Regiment 251 in response to the regulation on classifying household waste at source, implemented synchronously nationwide from January 1, 2025 according to the Law on Environmental Protection 2020. This is a practical action to raise awareness and encourage the habit of classifying waste in the military community, cadres and people.
In the journey of more than 30 years of construction and development, along with the world 's shift towards green and clean energy sources, PTSC has always focused on sustainable development, linking business activities with social responsibility. Programs such as Tet Tree Planting not only help reduce carbon emissions but also promote eco-tourism in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Through the program, PTSC affirms its commitment to environmental protection, sustainable development, and at the same time spreads the profound humanistic value of planting and protecting trees.
