Lao Cai businesses and businesswomen support flood victims with over 200 million VND

During the two days of September 30 - October 1, the Lao Cai Business Association and Women Entrepreneurs Association carried out many practical activities, contributing to sharing difficulties with people in flood-affected areas.

Representatives of the Provincial Business Association and the Lao Cai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association presented rice and necessities at Minh Bao Pagoda, Nam Cuong Ward.

In two days, nearly 5,000 meals were delivered to people in areas severely damaged by floods.

The Lao Cai Business Association and Women Entrepreneurs Association also visited and presented gifts to three volunteer kitchens in Van Phu, Yen Bai and Au Lau wards. Here, the delegation presented 700 kg of rice, 20 million VND in cash, 600 gifts including instant noodles, drinks and many cooking ingredients.

The total value of support activities is estimated at more than 200 million VND, mobilized from contributions of businesses and member companies.

Representatives of the Provincial Business Association and the Lao Cai Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association presented 20 million VND to the volunteer kitchen at Tung Duong Restaurant, Yen Bai ward.

The timely gifts not only help people ease their immediate difficulties but also demonstrate the social responsibility and affection of the business community towards people in disaster-stricken areas.

In the coming time, depending on the development of storms and floods, the Lao Cai business community will continue to accompany and deploy support activities to help people overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
