Cambodian team lost narrowly in Asian Cup final

The 2024-2025 AFC Challenge League final will be held at Morodok Techo Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In the 82nd minute, Sareth Krya equalized 1-1 for Svay Rieng. This score forced both sides to play extra time. FK Arkadag showed a physical advantage, as the match was forced to drag on.

In the 112th minute, striker Annadurdyyew scored the decisive goal, sealing the victory for the Turkmenistan team. This victory helped the Central Asian team win the C3 Cup. However, this was a rather unfortunate defeat for the representative of Cambodian football, Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.

On May 18, Southeast Asian football will have another representative competing in the final of the Asian Cup. Lion City Sailors (Singapore) will compete in the final of the Asian Cup C2 (AFC Champions League 2), against Sharjah Club (UAE). This match will take place at Lion City Sailors' Bishan Stadium.
