Hendrio Araujo is a technical midfielder with a keen sense of play and a wealth of experience playing in the V-League. After bringing Binh Dinh Club into the top 3 strongest teams in Vietnamese domestic football, Hendrio moved to Nam Dinh and contributed greatly to the V-League championship of the Thien Truong Stadium team.
Hendrio came from the famous La Masia training ground (Spain) and immediately became a star when he came to Vietnam to play since 2021. The 30-year-old Brazilian star has scored 29 goals, 31 assists and is always in the Top "Top scorer" and "Assist king" of V-League.
In the 2023-2024 season, Hendrio, along with his compatriot Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson), contributed greatly to helping Nam Dinh win the national championship for the first time in 39 years. He demonstrated flexibility in his playing style when he could take on many positions such as attacking midfielder or playing on both wings.
Saying goodbye to Nam Dinh from the second phase of V-League 2024-2025, Hendrio officially joined Hanoi FC under a 3-season contract. Wearing the capital team's shirt, Hendrio is expected to increase creativity and breakthroughs for the attack in the 2025-2026 season.
For the Brazilian player, this is an exciting new challenge and also an important step in his journey to realize his dream of playing for the Vietnamese national team. Hendrio is eligible for Vietnamese citizenship from January 2026 and is completing the procedures to soon realize his dream of playing for the Vietnamese national team.
"Personally, I see myself as a conqueror. I came to Hanoi because this is a team with a clear plan and great ambition. I came with the desire to contribute, assert myself and conquer titles with the team. I love the country and people of Vietnam. I want to give my best to the team and if I have the chance, it will be the Vietnam team. The fans always give me enthusiastic support, I will try my best to repay that love" - Hendrio Araujo shared.
