With the responsible participation of the government and the efforts of ethnic minorities in the area, the poverty rate has decreased by 5% or more each year; according to 2023 data, the poverty rate of the commune has decreased to 56.66%. The average income of households reached 32 million VND/year. To achieve this result, the commune has focused on solutions and mobilized resources to promote sustainable poverty reduction.
In particular, implementing projects and sub-projects under the National Target Program 1719, in 2023 and 2024 alone, Cao Ma Po commune has actively disbursed capital, including concreting 4 roads with a total amount of more than 6.8 billion VND, of which 3 roads have been completed and put into service for local life and economic development activities; Building a community house in Chin Chu Lin village, with a cost of more than 500 million VND;
The commune has also coordinated with the Project Management Board of Construction Investment of Quan Ba district to implement 03 projects to invest in 0.4 electric poles and wires in the villages of Chin Chu Lin, Va Thang II and Chin Sang; Build the Central Market of Cao Ma Po commune; Support 03 households to build houses and 147 water tanks for 147 households still facing difficulties; Support 569 households to develop agricultural and forestry production, promote the potential and strengths of regions to produce goods according to the value chain...
The commune also identifies agriculture as the main economic sector, Cao Ma Po also promotes the transformation of crop and livestock structure, and the application of science and technology in production. Currently, the whole commune has 420 hectares of corn, 24.96 hectares of rice, 150 hectares of arrowroot, 27.9 hectares of fruit trees, 564 hectares of medicinal plants; a total herd of 1,095 buffaloes and cows, 97 goats, 16,500 poultry, and 330 bee hives.
In Vang Cha Phin village, Mr. Hoang Van Ren's family is one of the typical households developing a comprehensive economic model. Currently, Mr. Ren is focusing on growing Panax notoginseng and peach trees for landscape with an area of thousands of square meters.
In addition, he has invested in 3 rows of barns to raise pigs. On average, each batch, his family will provide the area with about 50 commercial pigs. In addition, in Cao Ma Po commune, there are 11 business households mainly concentrated in the model residential area of Cao Ma village, peach gardens in Vang Cha Phin and Chin Chu Lin villages.
