Today (July 8), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was welcomed back home after winning a historic bronze medal at the 2024 World Volleyball Challenge Cup. On the same afternoon, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation held a celebration ceremony to promptly honor and reward the excellent achievements of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team.

At the celebration, in addition to the 300 million VND reward from the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and their teammates also received 300 million VND from a volleyball enthusiast, 150 million VND from Dong Luc Company and 100 million VND from a media unit. The total bonus that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team received was 850 million VND.

At the 2024 World Challenge Volleyball Cup, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team beat the host Philippines in the quarterfinals, lost to the Czech Republic in the semi-finals, and excellently defeated the world's 13th-ranked Belgian team in the bronze medal match. In terms of individual statistics, spiker Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen scored the most points in the tournament with 77 points, while libero Nguyen Khanh Dang had the best defense with 40 saves.

According to information from the coaching staff, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will add 3 U.20 players, Dang Thi Hong, Pham Quynh Huong, Nguyen Van Ha, while 3 players from the Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Information Corps Club, Lam Oanh, Kieu Trinh, Pham Hien, will return to the club to compete in the expanded Army volleyball tournament. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will train in Quang Ninh and then participate in the Shanghai International Volleyball Tournament (China) from July 18 to 28 with representatives from Croatia, Canada, Brazil, France, Japan, Thailand and host China, but all teams will bring to the youth tournament. Competing with teams with strong volleyball backgrounds is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese volleyball players, especially young players, to hone their skills and experience in the field.
